Xbox Game Pass confirms all the new games coming to the service in the second half of October 2022, which includes eight titles.
Microsoft has confirmed the eight games that will make up its Xbox Game Pass new additions for October 2022. Some Xbox Game Pass subscribers knew about these games well in advance thanks to previous release date announcements, but there are some surprises for Game Pass subscribers to look forward to these next couple of weeks.
Four of the new Xbox Game Pass games for October 2022 are going to be added to the service on October 20. These additions should be especially exciting for horror game fans, as they can look forward to the addition of Amnesia Collection, Amnesia Rebirth (making its Xbox debut), and Soma, all well-received horror game titles from Frictional Games. That same day, asymmetric multiplayer platformer Phantom Abyss will also join Game Pass, albeit as an Xbox Series X-only, early access release.
The new Xbox Game Pass games for October 20 should keep subscribers plenty busy, but there’s even more to look forward to come October 21. On that day, the critically-acclaimed Persona 5 Royal joins the Xbox Game Pass lineup, giving fans the chance to play one of the industry’s most-celebrated JRPGs. Persona 5 Royal could easily keep fans occupied for hundreds of hours, so it should give subscribers serious bang for their buck.
New Xbox Game Pass Games for October 2022
- Amnesia Collection (Cloud/Consoles/PC) – October 20
- Amnesia: Rebirth (Cloud/Consoles/PC) – October 20
- Phantom Abyss (Cloud/PC/Xbox Series X) – October 20
- Soma (Cloud/Consoles/PC) – October 20
- Persona 5 Royal (Cloud/Consoles/PC) – October 21
- Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery (PC) – October 27
- Gunfire Reborn (Cloud/Consoles/PC) – October 27
- Signalis (Cloud/Consoles/PC) – October 27
All the new Xbox Game Pass games for next week are concentrated on a single day, with three games set to be added on October 27. PC Game Pass subscribers can look forward to the addition of Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery on October 27, while Gunfire Reborn and Signalis will be available across all Game Pass platforms on the same day.
Out of these, perhaps the most interesting is Signalis. Not only is Signalis a day one Xbox Game Pass game, but it also takes its inspiration from classic survival-horror titles. It’s releasing just in time for the Halloween season, which is when many Xbox Game Pass subscribers will likely be looking for a horror game to play.
These eight games should ensure that the next couple of weeks are exciting for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, but fans should keep in mind that there are some games leaving the service this month as well. Xbox Game Pass is also losing eight games on Halloween, so subscribers may want to prioritize those.
